This was our first trip to Lapland after starting to make plans a year ago. We saw The Berrystay online and instantly knew that if we were going to come to Lapland we definitly had to book this place as it looked so festive! The cabin did not disapoint! It is a truly wonderful place to stay with our family. Peter and Karin have thought of EVERYTHING that a guest may need to be cosy and comfortable here and we greatly appreciated every detail! We highly recommend Snow Fun Safaris and a trip to Well Café! We will definitly be back!

Beautifully decorated log cabin, very close to the center of Äkäslompolo (10mns walking distance). The cabin is part of a little quiet neighbourhood with similar cabins at the end of a cul de sac. It really feels like being in someone’s home, and not in an impersonal home. It’s exactly like on the pictures. The cabin was very clean and the kitchen is extremely well appointed if you want to cook. Peter was very reactive to all my request and gave us nice restaurant recommendations. I definitely recommande to stay in Berrystay, and also if you are hesitating between staying at Äkäslompolo or Ylläsjärvi, we found that it is nicer to stay in Äkäslompolo as all the shops and restaurants are around here. We loved the area and will be back!!

We traveled with our 2 teenage children for a last minute getaway. The cabin in a great location quiet yet only a short walk to the supermarket and bars. The cabin is so well equipped for a family, it is a real home from home, the wifi and netflix were a bonus. Peter the owner was extremely helpful and had left a really useful information pack. We would definitely recommend the cabin and Akaslompolo, in fact we plan to book again for next year.
